As the preview for the next Psych episode put it, there is only one episode left… Until the last episode… Before the final episode! Well said, USA! I missed this episode on Wednesday, so this review is a little late as well, but as I like to sometimes say, better late than never.
One of Shawn and Gus’s favorite Mexican food trucks has closed down, the chef stabbed to death with a knife. To solve this case, the Psych Agency will have to go where no other private psychic detective agency has gone before: undercover. After acquiring a food truck from the impound, and opening up the Mash ‘N Grab, Shawn and Gus must find the killer before they’re closed down by the Board of Health. This time, it’s personal.
Alright, I’m not going to lie. This episode was probably one of my favorite all season. After a small reign of darkness in season 8, Psych is back on track, in my opinion. It was really satisfying to laugh at this episode, and feel that for now, Pysch is safe, and I’m happy with it’s direction. Wherever that may be. 9 out of 10.
